DB_common::provides() -- Checks if a DBMS supports a particular feature
Description
Checks if a feature is available for the chosen database type.
Parameter

$feature
the feature to check
Table 21-1. Possible values are:

The database does a pre-check of the SQL statment

The database supports persistent connections

| transactions |
The database supports transactions
|
| limit |
The database supports LIMITed SELECT statments

Return value
boolean - if TRUE, the feature is supported

This function can not be called
statically.
